Summary
When Kim Kigyu received his invitation to become a player (a unique-ability player, at that), he thought his struggles were over. But no matter how hard he tries, he just can’t seem to get past level 1! After five years of working as a guide on the lower floors of the tower, he’s finally discovered his ability to link with “Egos” and raise his stats. As his new skills unlock adventures in unexplored gates, Kigyu gets his chance to defy expectations and show the world that rank isn’t everything.
Gigyu suffered from life troubles from a young age. His father died before he turned 18, where his mother got sick, leaving him and his sister to fend off for themselves. Gigyu struggled with jobs here and there for the sake of curing his mother, letting his sister live in more safe areas and paying his loans for the medication of his mother, until he was accepted to being a Player, a special individual that can raid Gates that lead to alternate realities with a game-like system, which appeared around 25 years ago.8
Sadly, however, Gigyu was plagued with the inability to level up, which caused him to have the nickname of “The Player That Can’t Level Up”. However, he was able to break through his weaknesses by gaining access to Egos, sentient beings that grant their users power upon being given a certain shape. And thus begun the adventure of Gigyu to the top.
